Remote work requires trust and acceptance from the employer as well as individual work and focus among many employees. Remote work has evolved a lot in the past few years. If ten years ago working from home was a form of communication with business on the phone or customer service with the lowest possible cost, today, thanks to the development of technology output and access to the Internet, more and more professionals are doing their full-time jobs and starting their careers. of simple work. The Challenge Unfortunately, we live in an imperfect world, which means that even great ideas like remote work come with many challenges. And truth be told – telecommuting is not for everyone. Working remotely tests your productivity and self-control every day. When you’re not in the office, you may feel like you’re less distracted – no colleagues chatting or interrupting your work, no small talk at the water cooler, no have the phone ringing all the time, etc., but if you choose. working at home, you need to be prepared for many obstacles. Work, pets, family and loved ones can easily get in the way of your productivity and take your attention away from work. Add to this some people who don’t really work from home and try to communicate with you during work – it can also be very distracting. The best solution for working remotely is to go to a local co-working space or have a home office (if you don’t need other people around), create have a clear and separate work of daily life. As much flexibility as remote work can give you, work is still your commitment and should be prioritized accordingly. One of the biggest challenges of working remotely is communication. With technology making it possible to reach us 24/7, there’s still nothing that beats face-to-face communication. And while it can be very easy to communicate online one-on-one with your boss or other team members, group communication, and especially social networking mentally, hard to do. Group division also hinders communication if people are spread around the world and work differently. Where +/- 2 hours doesn’t make much difference, +/- 6 hours creates real problems, causing insufficient time for team collaboration and for employees to connect with other companies . Establishing an attendance schedule will ensure that there is enough time to maintain daily contact when needed. Because of the impact of remote work, collaboration is more productive, not process-oriented, because companies and team leaders have left the process to the employee. Although it can eliminate the unnecessary involvement of colleagues in the development process, it puts more pressure on results and schedules. What matters is what is done, not how you do it, and your performance is measured by that. The limitations of communication in turn reduce the quality of cooperation. Although in software development it may not be the most important part of the development process, it can still affect the quality of project work. For many software developers who choose to work remotely, the relationship plays an important role in determining whether this type of work is right for them. As mentioned above, software development does not require communication with other departments of the company, which makes people wonder if software engineers are separated from the social group. Just like everyone else, software developers need to be social, and given that work takes up at least ⅓ of your daily life, human interaction in the workplace seems to be beneficial, if not important. Eliminating relationships can go a long way in improving productivity, but it’s a big concern for professionals who like to have relationships in life. Last but not least, cyber security is a complex issue that affects both employers and employees. It’s easy to think that technology companies like Yahoo or Google are at high risk for data breaches and cyberattacks, but the truth is that every business, whether small or How big, use or not, there is a risk of cybercrime. Whether it’s customer data, financial performance, or any of the sensitive data you hold, there’s always a risk of hackers targeting your business.
